The training and development of people is the focus of a large part of Psicotec’s activity, convinced of the great impact it generates on the results of companies, which is why we understand that it is a basic axis that must pivot on their strategy, and news like this in some way reinforces our commitment.
The novelty is as follows: The extension of the ERTEs is maintained until 31 October 2021 and from 1 November a new modality called “ERTE for training” appears.
Through Royal Decree-Law 18/2021, of 28 September, from 1 November 2021 to 28 February 2022, a new ERTE scheme will come into force, granting greater exemptions to companies that carry out training actions for workers on ERTE.
Below, we summarise the fundamental points of the Royal Decree-Law that extends the ERTEs and that contemplates training as a central element for renewal, by setting greater exemptions in Social Security contributions for companies that carry out training actions.
According to the Rule published on September 29 in the B.O.E., the Royal Decree-Law that extends the temporary employment regulation files (ERTE) associated with COVID comes into force until February 28, 2022.
The ERTEs that begin in October will have the same conditions as in September and the training will be financed with an extra contribution to the SEPE.
From November there will be an exemption in Social Security payments for the new ERTEs, conditioned on the provision of training to workers in ERTE.
This exemption will be 80% for companies that provide training, compared to 40% for companies that do not provide training. This applies to those companies that have more than 10 employees, for companies with less than 10 employees the exemption will be 50%.
The training actions will have to have a minimum duration of 30 hours per person for companies with 10 to 49 employees, and 40 hours or more per person for companies with more than 50 workers. This training must be given during the suspended working day.
The training actions must be carried out before 30 June 2022 and will be linked to an increase in the credit to finance the training:
- 450 euros per person for companies with less than 10 workers
- 400 euros per person for companies between 10 and 49 workers
- 320 euros per person for companies with 50 or more workers
Companies that are subject to this Royal Decree-Law will have to take advantage of the new structural mechanism of internal flexibility once the labour reform comes into force. This mechanism incorporates training as a condition and will contain sectoral and cyclical ERTEs.
Training and development is a “must” in the strategy of companies aligned with the objectives and their orientation towards results and customers. Psicotec proposes its training programs on the idea of growth based on three competency pillars (person-team-leadership) framed in a V.U.C.A.H. environment, in which the continuous advance of new technologies and, especially digital, means that we need agile teams and people to assume changes in a positive way and as opportunities for innovation. This requires not learning but unlearning that combines emotional and cognitive aspects that make it easier for people and teams to better adapt to current challenges.
