Talent? Yes! And the more, the better.

During the last few weeks, at Psicotec we have been quite busy with one of our most demanding and recurring projects: the selection of interns for ICEX’s 2020 Business Internationalization Program.

After a massive call, several psychotechnical tests, 1000 candidates, 500 finalists and more than 400 personal interviews, we can say that this project is one of the most interesting, complete and complex of our Young Talent line.

More and more companies and organisations are aware of the importance of launching projects especially focused on the new generations and, in line with an increasingly competitive environment, identifying, incorporating, retaining and developing talent to the maximum.

But what is a Young Talent project?

We can consider in this group any program especially focused on the two most recent generations that are already in the labor market: Generation Y (known as Millennials) and Generation Z, who are starting to work now.

Both demographic groups have specific characteristics that differentiate them, so adapting our approach to the language, expectations and characteristics of each generation will help us to generate Employer Branding from the outset that encourages the engagement of future employees.

And what types of Young Talent projects do we carry out?

There are mainly two main types: recruitment and selection projects and projects for the development of recently hired professionals.

Despite this, we must consider talent as an intangible and transversal asset of the organization and every day it is more important to include a new factor that involves everything: Diversity Management, and specifically Generational Diversity.

Companies have professionals with a lot of background, and it is in the variety and ability to combine all these points of view and accumulated experience that the secret to forging a lasting competitive advantage lies.

By combining experience, conflict resolution skills, youth and knowledge of the most current digital tools, we can minimize the risk of disconnecting from what our customers really need.

If we add all the road traveled to the full potential of Young Talent, we will be sowing a future of success; relying on what has made us strong to glimpse everything we want to achieve.

How far do we want to go?
