Once again, Psicotec has participated in the ENEX GAM 2024 (Global Annual Meeting) that took place between June 3 and 7 in San Diego, California, and which under the title “The Art of Executive Search” brought together representatives of the more than 50 countries around the world that are part of the ENEX Global Direct Search and Headhunting Network.
On behalf of Psicotec, Ignacio del Busto, our founder, and Mª Luisa Riobóo, Corporate General Manager of Psicotec and Head of Western Europe at ENEX, attended. In addition, Vanessa Hernanz, Director of Training and Development at Psicotec, also participated as host of the GAM ENEX 2023 that took place a year ago in the city of Valencia, Spain.
This event, beyond a meeting of all members, is a forum for discussion and collaboration in which participants can share their experiences, best practices and put on the table the new emerging trends in the sector of identification, attraction and recruitment of talent, always from an international perspective and Executive Search that allows anticipating the challenges of a market as changing as the of Talent.
ENEX GAM 2024 Agenda
After the welcome of the participants on June 3, and to facilitate the sharing of all this accumulated knowledge, a series of workshops, workshops and conferences were organized between June 4 and 7. Some of the most relevant were:
- The State of the Executive Search Industry, by Lynne Murphy-Rivera, Managing Director for the Americas at the Executive Search Association AESC.
- Overview of the market and the situation of talent consulting in the different ENEX Regions: APAC, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, MEA, Americas.
- Artificial Intelligence and Executive Search, by José Ruiz, CEO at Alder Koten IMD and President of Anker Bios.
- The impact of the European Union’s regulation on AI on the recruitment, search and selection of talent, led by Ann Cattelain, CEO at Federgon.
Perspectives on the State of Executive Search in Western Europe – ENEX GAM 2024
One of the most anticipated moments of this edition of the ENEX 2024 Global Annual Meeting was the one led by Mª Luisa Riobóo, Corporate General Manager of Psicotec, who shared with all the participants the general overview of the state of the Executive Search sector in Western Europe.
A year ago, Mª Luisa accepted the assignment to become Head of Region for Western Europe with two very specific objectives: expansion to new partners and commercial dynamism, seeking synergies with regional partners. Both objectives have been more than fulfilled but, beyond them, as a result of this leadership, it has been possible to create a constant flow of information and collaboration.
In the words of Mª Luisa Riobóo:
Although Europe is sometimes referred to as the “old Europe”, our continent has a lot to say in the field of Talent. The European Executive Search market is extremely dynamic and its projection towards other continents further amplifies its potential. In addition, the different European regulations are benchmarks when it comes to developing national legislation and trans-European best practices. Therefore, close collaboration is the best way to consolidate the good health of the talent market in Europe.
Some of the most interesting conclusions from Mª Luisa’s presentation on the state of Executive Search in Western Europe were:
- There is a perception of a general increase in competition, but especially in large competition, mainly from international groups.
- Although working conditions are always important, candidates who are likely to be contacted by consultants specializing in Executive Search are more moved by projects that allow them to develop professionally and fulfill themselves as people.
- Artificial Intelligence is a trend that we should not ignore, in fact, it is already being tested widely in some areas. Its application to Executive Search is perceived as extremely positive due to its ability to automate processes with low added value.
- Along with Executive Search’s own solutions, other solutions are increasingly in demand, especially those related to Training and Talent Development and Diversity and Inclusion.
