Given the panorama we are contemplating, it is foreseeable that people who are teleworking during this crisis will continue to do so at least until the end of June, during the four phases of de-escalation.
Some companies are even deciding to delay the return of their employees to physical workplaces until September or even until the end of the year.
Before the pandemic, teleworking was an option for only 7% of employees in Spain, but two months later, it is a reality for the vast majority of them.
In this anomalous situation we have reached teleworking as we have been able, sometimes with some previous experience in a pilot, in others without any. The truth is that most of us are exploring hitherto unknown terrain and, as a result, we are making mistakes that could be avoided.
And since teleworking is here to stay, we consider it convenient to put order and ensure good practices in it, which will undoubtedly benefit companies and employees.
This is the objective of the working group promoted by UNE for the development of a UNE Specification on teleworking in which Psicotec actively participates to contribute its point of view on practice with regard to people management.
In this new environment, it is important for organizations to change with the times and implement quality processes that ensure their productivity and future. That is our goal.
